Lights, Camera, Action! Wake up with the WOWL Morning Broadcasters, where our students become the stars and producers of their own daily news show! This hands-on program gives students a "behind-the-scenes" look at the world of media. Whether they are shining on-screen as news anchors reading from a professional teleprompter or running the show behind the scenes by operating the camera and managing the sound board, our broadcasters learn incredible real-world skills. It’s the perfect way to build confidence, teamwork, and technical know-how—all before the first bell rings!

Safety Patrol

Our Safety Patrol team consists of dedicated fifth graders who help keep James S. Hunt Elementary safe and welcoming. These student leaders exemplify responsibility, leadership, and good citizenship—true role models for our school community.

Speech and Debate Club

Speak Up, Stand Out, and Lead! Turn those negotiation skills into a superpower with the Speech and Debate Team! This dynamic club is the perfect playground for students who have big ideas and want to learn how to share them with the world. We turn public speaking into a fun, confidence-building sport. Whether students are writing a persuasive speech to change minds or engaging in a friendly debate on a hot topic, they will learn to think on their feet, articulate their thoughts clearly, and command a room. It’s time to grab the microphone and let their voices be heard!
